“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me…” — Isaiah 61:1
Catherine Matthews-Hyatt is a walking testimony of God’s restoring power, divine purpose, and strategic rebuilding. From an early age, she was sensitive to the voice of God and aware of a calling that would shape the course of her life.
Years before 1992, doctors declared she would never have children. Yet in 1992, God miraculously healed her body and opened her womb. She later gave birth to four children — each one dedicated back to the Lord — affirming her belief that family is the first ministry.
At just 14 years old, Catherine began doing hair — discovering early that her hands carried more than talent; they carried influence. What started as a gift would later become a licensed profession and a 30-year career in the cosmetology industry.
As a licensed cosmetologist and successful salon owner, her chair became more than a place of beauty — it became a space of counsel, prayer, and transformation. Women came for services but left with clarity, encouragement, and strategic direction.
Long before stages and publications, Catherine was mentoring women through divorce, financial hardship, identity crises, and major life transitions. The salon was where leadership was cultivated, discernment was sharpened, and lives were rebuilt.
Simultaneously, she operated as a real estate investor, applying faith and disciplined strategy to build and rebuild wealth — proving that restoration is both spiritual and practical.
Catherine served faithfully in church leadership for over 20 years under pastoral covering, contributing across multiple areas of ministry including teaching, leadership development, and women’s discipleship.
Committed to spiritual growth and sound doctrine, she studied at Aenon Bible College, was licensed through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and officially ordained in 2007 — confirming the call that had marked her life from childhood.
Isaiah 61:1 remains the foundation of her mandate — to heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty, and restore identity.
For eight years, Catherine stepped away from public ministry to care for her mother, affectionately known as “Your Highness,” until her passing in July 2022. During that hidden season, she honored 1 Timothy 5:8, holding firmly to the belief that family is the first ministry.
While she was unseen publicly, God was increasing her privately. From that season emerged The Throne Room — a ministry rooted in intercessory prayer, healing, and breakthrough.
